About Me

Music has always been a form of expression for me — but I learned early that talent isn’t always enough.

I wanted to understand the systems behind the industry and help others do the same with knowledge, access and strategy.

Born into a musical family, I began my journey as a singer and writer — a path that gave me early insight into both the artistry and essence of music. While I loved to sing, it was writing that truly became my space for expression. It became an outlet where I could process, reflect and say what I couldn’t always express outright.

That personal connection to music eventually sparked a deeper curiosity about what happens behind the scenes — the decisions, systems and structures that shape an artist’s path. As I became more aware of the industry’s realities — ownership disputes, financial pitfalls and lost legacies — I made a pivotal choice to equip myself with the business knowledge so many creatives are never taught.

Guided by mentors who urged me to build beyond talent, I earned my degree in Music Business. I went on to work in music supervision, performing rights and publishing — spaces that gave me a panoramic view of the music industry. From artist discovery to global rights administration, I’ve seen how creative work is transformed from vision to impact.

Over the years, I’ve held roles as a performer, project manager and creative director — working on licensing, placements and purpose-driven initiatives. I’ve sung and shared stages with artists like Fantasia, Harry Connick Jr., Fred Hammond and Toshi Reagon. I’ve represented iconic catalogs including the The Who, Pink Floyd, Lead Belly, Bill Evans and Bernice Johnson Reagon. I secured music for Warner Bros., HBO, Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Studios, and handled licensing for Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, David Guetta, Nicki Minaj and Blake Shelton. My work also includes special projects with institutions such as Carnegie Hall and LiveOn NY.

Beyond roles and projects, I’ve come to learn that success in this industry isn’t just about talent or even knowledge — it’s about balance. Many artists are taught to pour everything into the work, often at the expense of their health, their finances, their peace. I’ve lived that imbalance myself. That’s why I’m committed to helping artists build not just strong catalogs or contracts, but prosperous lives. We shouldn’t have to choose between creativity and stability. Art and well-being should coexist. We need space for both — and support systems that allow us to grow in all directions.

Today, as a Music Business Consultant and Special Projects Liaison, I work with creatives at every stage — independent artists who inspire me, beginners learning Copyright 101 and seasoned creators needing full-scale project support. Whether offering strategic guidance or connecting clients to broader networks and federal resources, my mission is to ensure brilliant work is seen, represented and properly compensated. Culture lives in our community and it deserves to thrive. Together, we can build something lasting through knowledge, strategy, relationships and legacy.
